Getting Ready..
We are getting ready to journey once again to Zambia, Africa. A trip many would say "will change your life forever". God does some incredible things in you and through you when you surrender to His call to missions. Our trip will consist of sharing our faith with the lost, teaching new believers how to follow Christ, training and encouraging those who are walking with the Lord. We will also be working on a construction project. Our dates for the trip are tentatively set for June 9, 2012 to June 23, 2012. If you sense God moving in you to serve with us... come on! Lets get ready!

Zambia, Africa 2011
Our first two days were devoted to a group of older youth believer (our Disciples). We taught them how to share their faith with the world around them and how to disciple the younger youth and new believers in their communities. Our desire was to encourage them to step out in the boldness and courage they already possessed. Sometimes we just need to hear~you can...you can teach, share and build up those around you, not in our own strength, but in that of Jesus. The team and the disciples spent the next two days in the bush. We made our way through the elephant grass sharing the gospel with the families who live there and invited everyone we saw to join us for the showing of the "Jesus Film" that the evening. Sunday morning was incredible! Words just can't do it justice! To think of those in Zambia worshiping our risen Savior and the people in Granbury doing the same thing. All singing in a different tongue, but God hearing and it blessing His heart.
Monday, and our last week, came all to soon. Monday through Thursday day our disciples helped us lead a new believers class. On our last day with the new believers, we offered a time of baptism. What an amazing experience to see those new believers take that step of obedience, to declare their faith to the world and to their friends.
Monday night through Thursday nights, joined with our disciples, we walked the streets of the townships of Kitwe. We spoke with some who believed in the gospel of Jesus Christ and loved Him completely. They wanted us to stay and share scripture with them, to encourage them. We spoke with some who were ready to take their own life. They were desperately seeking relieve from the torture they were living in. Some of the ones we shared with, believed the false prophets from Buddha to Jehovah Witness. Boldly and in love we declared that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
Our time in Zambia ended to quickly! It was time to come home...time to share what God had done in and through us...time to apply here what God had taught us there! Time to declare that during our time there God brought approx 50 people to himself, and 42 new believers stepped out in obedience and were baptized.
To those of you who prayed for us, who gave of your finances and time, who served along side us during our fundraisers, thank you just isn't enough. I pray that you are blessed beyond measure and that God reveals to you a glimpse of your reward to come!

Thank You
We as a team stood in awe (well except for me~I was jumping up and down yelling we have motorcycles) as motorcycles begin to come into the parking lot on Saturday Morning! The energy and excitement was in the air..and the roar of the motorcycles was pretty cool too!
What an amazing day it was! Our efforts were blessed in ways we hadn't expect, from the vendors who so graciously gave their time and profits to the 50 motorcycles who made the event possible and our church family who chose to sacrifice their time, energy and talents to come out and serve!

A special thank you to Robin G and Cindy D for serving breakfast! Our hearts were blessed beyond measure. Everyone who was there at the 1st Annual Motorcycle Fun Run for Zambia was truly "on mission".
The desire of every believers heart should be to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our community and the nations! On March 19, 2011 Faith was in Action! We love ya'll! If you missed the event..we are sorry, but hang on next year is coming!!!
