Faithful~

God is so faithful!  Chuck and I were presented with a dilemma.  The 10 seats for our trip to Zambia needed to be secured ASAP.  The security deposit was $2500.00 for all 10 seats.  Chuck and I had $500.00 and that wasn't even enough to secure our own seats!  We discussed this on a Thursday night, not quite sure what we were going to do.  How were we going to be able to get $2500.00 to secure 10 seats for a team that was not even complete yet!  Chuck had placed a call to Joey to ask if there was a possibilty of StoneWater fronting the security deposity and I reluctantly checked into the credit cards as an option.  Chuck and Joey played telephone tag for 3 days and the credit card option was not an option at all!

Monday morning I went to the mail box, and guess what was in it?....a $1000.00 CHECK refund from our house escrow!  So we had $1500.00 of the $2500.00 needed.  Tuesday morning, my friend Beth from Mission Air Travel called me to check and see how things had gone over the weekend.  I told her about the check, but that we were still in the same place financially!  She then told me she had some news..her Kenya Airways rep had already reserved our seats, but we would need to get the deposit to her by the end of next week.  I was excited to know our price was locked in and our seats reserved even though we didnt have the full amount to send yet!  Then,,,, she told me she negotiated the deposit to be paid in two portions, $150 per seat now and $100 per seat due December 15.

We had $1500.00!!!  Seats and price secured! Oh and we have 8 people committed to go!!  Our first information meeting....well, its this Sunday, November 21st!!!

The excitement builds!

The excitement is building as we begin to see how God is moving.
Over the past two weeks God has crossed our paths with a travel agent who specializes in overseas missions~specifically Africa!  Her search for our flights revealed a 25% savings!  Dates are confirmed June 4-June17?!

Chuck has been contacted by a gentleman in our church that wants to help provide "proclaimers" for us to take to Zambia.  The "proclaimers" will be given to Pastor Chanda to share with the people of rural areas who do not have the Bible in their language.  More over, typically these people are illiterate, so the spoken word is there only way of learning about JESUS.

God is showing us and affirming who He wants to go and share the love of His Son to the people of Zambia.  We are taking 10 people, and the seats are filling up fast!  Praise God!

A vision from God...

Nehemiah had a vision...a God given vision...to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem!  He heard about the condition of Jerusalem and was burdened.  A burden that moved him to action!  His action wasn't without preparation~ He sought God's favor and prayed for wisdom.  He devised a plan.  He knew what he would need in order to accomplish the burden God had placed on his heart.  He needed God.  A God sized vision can't be accomplished without God.

Our burden for the people of Zambia is a burden from God!  Reaching and equipping them to follow and serve Christ.  We begin, just as Nehemiah did, with prayer asking for God's favor and wisdom.  We ask that you join with us as we seek God's favor and wisdom, specifically as we prepare for our information meetings that will be held after each service on November 7, 2010.  We will be sharing the specifics of the trip itself, as well as the vision we feel God has given us.

Preparing..

We are new to StoneWater Church and to Granbury.  Being in a new place is never easy, but God has quickly given us a place to call home...StoneWater Church.  God has orchestrated several events in our lives that have culminated in our growth in Him, calling StoneWater home and leading a team from StoneWater Church to Kitwe, Zambia. God has placed in our hearts a burden for the people of Kitwe, Zambia, Africa.  Our desire is to share the love of Christ with them and equip them to follow Jesus.  We invite you to come on this journey with us.  It is a journey that God will use...to change your life forever~
